Fourth Grade summary for 2017-18

  1. Competition is played on Sundays. All matches are One Day matches of 35 overs per side
  2. Top four teams make the finals. Team 1 plays Team 2, and Team 3 plays Team 4. Winner of 1v2 goes into the final. Loser of 1v2 plays winner of 3v4 to decide who plays in the final. 
  3. Balls are two [2] piece red leather. The weight of the ball shall be 156g
  4. The team batting second can bat their 35 overs, even if they win before then
  5. Most games start at 8.30am, and finish at 1.00pm. Change of innings break is 10.40am to 10.50am. Some start at 1.30pm
  6. Finish times of fixture matches cannot be extended if time has been lost. Finals matches can be extended by up to an hour.
  7. Home team is responsible for covers 
  8. Penalties apply for slow play
  9. 15 overs per side minimum to constitute a game
  10. Maximum of 7 overs per bowler. Fewer when time is lost.
  11. Some fielding restrictions apply
  12. One fast, short pitched ball allowed per over
  13. One Day wides apply
  14. Free hit after all No Balls
  15. Points are awarded for wins, ties and abandoned matches. Incentive points are earned for every run and wicket.
  16. Captains must complete an umpire’s match report at the end of a match.
  17. Results entered into MyCricket by 9pm on Wednesday after a match.
  18. The TCI Code of Behaviour applies to all players, officials and administrators.
