Final Day of U15 State Championships see’s title race still open

Going into the final round of matches in the U15 State Championships sees 2 sides having yet to drop a match, winning all 4 games. Ladder leaders Darling Downs SWQ remain at the top just following a close fought match with NQ, with the game coming down to the last ball.

Wide Bay remain in second following a solid win over Central Qld with Jared Sippel and Samuel Thompson both scoring centuries.  Gold Coast move to 3rd following a thrilling 1 run win over the previously un-beaten Brisbane North with both BEARS and Brisbane North rounding out the top 5.

the final day tomorrow sees our leaders Darling Downs taking on Mackay Whitsunday at the Uni oval and Wide Bay taking on local North Qld at Endeavour Park who will be looking to make amends for their narrow 1 run loss. Third place Gold Coast have a challenging game against the improving BEARS who dropped their first game and have got stronger each game. This game will be played at Fred Jacobsen Oval – Wanderers CC home ground.
