Suburban Parks win A-Grade final

SUBURBAN Parks have claimed the Townsville Cricket one-day premiership with a five-wicket grand final win over Saints at Tony Ireland Stadium yesterday.

Subs batted first and posted 5-251, thanks largely to a match-winning opening partnership from Glen Gartrell (62) and Sean Danaher (72), and then dismissed Saints for 172 with consistent bowling and opportunistic fielding.

Suburban Parks also won the Reserve Grade final in a close match with Wanderers. Saints comfortably won the Third Grade Final by 5 wickets over Suburban Parks. In 4th Grade, Wanderers were set 115 to win against Brothers Blue.
